- Where can I find information on prices, ordering, and returns?
Please see the Ordering F.A.Q page by clicking here.
- Are any of your Takatoku or Bandai Valkyries for sale???
Sorry, you are asking me to sell a piece of my childhood. No dollar amount can persuade me to sell at this point in time. I've invested tons of hours and taken quite a bit of risk just to find these pieces.
- Do you have any Joons Valkyries for sale???
Sorry, we no longer carry the Joons Valkyries.
- Where can I buy Takatoku and Bandai Valkyries or other Macross/Robotech toys???
Although these Valkyries are really hard to find, you may run across them at any of the links below: Just be prepared to pay out a pretty penny! Mint Valkyries don't come cheap!
- What are my 1/55 Valkyries worth???
It's really hard to gauge market prices since so many variables come into play, but here is an range of what I've seen Valkyries go for. Since I mainly collect 1/55 scale Valkyries, I can only offer my observations of these Valkyries.
All prices are based under the assumption that valkyries are in pristine condition (C9+ toy and box) and includes all original accessories. Again, these prices are the interpretations from the Valkyrie Exchange. There is no official source for suggested market prices. Also, these prices were adjusted on February, 2000.

- Where do you see the Valkyrie market going? (Dated 11/99)
Personally, I've seen Valkyrie demand grow over the last few years. Valkyries use to sell in the $200-$300+ range when I first started collecting in 1996. Since then, Valkyries have reached in the $600 range to the $1000 range. I speculate that collectors (like me) are trying to recapture their childhood when Macross and Robotech were popular back in the 80's. Now that most of these fans are out in the working world, they've got cash to buy back some of these fond memories. The growth in the adoption of the Internet is only fueling this demand! The Internet has allowed more channels of communication and has linked supply with demand.
With all the Macross/Robotech toy
releases from Toynami, Yamato, and Bandai, the prices will still hold
up. As these toys become more mainstream, we'll seen a new wave of
fans and collectors coming into the picture.
- Will the 1/55 Valkyries ever be re-issued?
Yes! Bandai has surprised the Macross/Robotech community in August 2000 with their plans to reissue the 1/55 VF-1J Valkyrie. Assuming sales are good, I speculate we'll see more reissues coming from Bandai!
- How do the Joons Valkyries compare to an original Takatoku or Bandai Valkyries?
I get this question all the time from collectors and fans. As I have stated, the craftsmanship of the Joons Valkyries are not as nice as the Takatoku or Bandai Valkyries. Specifically, most collectors will notice the following:
Again, these are Korean replicas, inexpensively made for collectors who can't shove out a few hundred dollars for the original stuff. These toys are fairly sturdy as any toy made these days on the market. Don't think that after one transformation, it will break. :o) Personally, I think they are great toys to display, transform, and play with! Having these Joons Valkyries has distracted me from my temptation to open and play with my Takatoku and Bandai Valkyries!
